I have always been an avid Star Wars and Star Trek fan and enjoy this parody of 5/4 every year.
Turning back the "way back" machine, I remember that May day in 1977 when my then employer (Burger King Corp) had a private pre-screening for employees at the Dadeland Twin Cinema, which was a parking lot neighbor of BKC's corporate headquarters on Kendall Drive, in Miami..
I can't believe it was 35 years ago... Many things have changed except one... The force is with us all!!

I saw it 4th of July weekend in 1977. I was just a kid all of 12 years old at the time.
I got taken 13 times to see it, by a girl who wanted to be a Hollywood Mask Artist (now she sells insurance, I think). I never quit loving it! Thanks for the reminder.
Peace <3

Watched it 4 times at the Ziegfeld Theatre in NYC - the only theatre fully equipped to handle the tech stuff at the time - and the place was packed every time. The first film ran for over 8 months there. Unheard of at the time.
I think I'm the only person on the planet who hasn't seen any of the Star Wars movies.... I just have no interest in that sort of thing.
Funny story - we were at the family home in North Carolina and I met my brother-in-law's fiance and her kids. The eldest of the two kids was sitting next to me and Return of the Jedi came on. Yes, the one with the Ewoks.
She'd never seen the entire movie. But she knew all the characters.
And I widely credit Return of the Jedi as the period where George Lucas lost his mind. He went from Ewoks to Jar-Jar Binks.
