Norge and Toano

Two of the small towns just this side of Williamsburg VA, about an hour east of the westend of Richmond. Usually bypassed on I-64 on the way to Busch Gardens, Norfolk, or Virginia Beach. I went down and had dinner with a friend Thursday. He lives and works in that area, which, by the way, is very nice... We had Mexican food, a few Coronas, a lot of conversation, I ended up spending the night ...
Friday was pretty unremarkable... I read my Dean Koontz novel, sunned, did some laundry, cleaned the house and then went to see The Devil Wears Prada... Very funny movie, although the only people really reacting to it (laughing) seemed to be the intuitive women and the gay men... hmmmm, I wonder why?
Not much else happening in "my new life" right now...
Til next time...

I see your in retail. At what store? Know what you look like from your picture, would like to stop by and introduce myself. Might become part of your new life.

Norge, VA. Most people don't even know it exists.

My great-grandmother ran a tea room for passing travelers at the "Old Store In The Village" in Norge. Not sure what's there now. Last time I stopped in, it was an artists' studio I believe.

My great-grandfather ran a sawmill in the area and just across the way is a run down train depot where my grandfather had his first paying job loading/unloading freight cars.

It's a beautiful little area that gets missed by many headed down I64 to Williamsburg and the beach.

Glad you liked the area.
